London will have a new creative hub in Garden Studios that will blend learning, research and production. With a footprint of 15,000 m2 across sound stages, workshops, technical facilities, well-being and offices; this comprehensive offering is designed to be talent, nature and community friendly on all measures. We believe that only by setting the standard for sustainable production, driving innovation and embracing the environment can the best results be achieved in a talent-driven business. This is easier said than done, but we will try hard to live by those aspirations. The business will launch in Q1 of 2021, with our Virtual Production Soundstage, remaining stages launched in Q2 of 2021. The initial phase will include four buildings with 8 stages totalling 5000m2 and accompanying workshops and production offices. This multi-phase solution will allow for a continuity of operation and ensure that core talent can be locally recruited or relocated with a long-term perspective. The studio will create significant new jobs as well as contractual work for many more as service providers to productions and tenants on the lot.
This will be an owner-operated business; operated by people who have long and deep experience across many aspects of the film industry with success stories like Picturehouse Cinemas, Love Film, Arts Alliance Media, MetFilm School and Park Circus under our belts.
