This exciting collaboration marks the next chapter in a long-standing partnership, bringing industry-relevant training to 30 talented young people from underrepresented and challenging backgrounds.

The free 8-week, full-time training programme got underway this month and brings together emerging creatives aged 19–30 who are taking their first steps towards careers in broadcast, film and digital media. Hosted within Garden Studios state-of-the-art production environment, the programme reflects a shared commitment between the two organisations to open doors inclusively, support new entrants and strengthen the future of the UK’s creative industries.

CEO & Founder MAMA Youth Project
We’re incredibly grateful to Garden Studios for extending their support to MAMA Youth Project by providing access to The Hive’s creative training spaces. This partnership not only gives our young people an inspiring environment in which to build industry skills, but also strengthens our shared commitment to opening doors into the TV, film and media sectors.

The programme trains participants in production roles including research, camera operation, video editing, sound recording and production management. Designed to mirror real-world industry workflows, the bootcamp combines hands-on production experience with professional development, employability training and direct insight from industry practitioners.

On completion, trainees join MAMA Youth Project’s prestigious talent pool, receiving ongoing career and professional Talent Manager support and exclusive access to entry-level opportunities with the charity’s network of industry partners – ensuring that training translates into sustainable employment, not just short-term experience.

This training programme is enhanced through Garden Studios’ sponsorship of the cohort, providing training space at The Hive and embedding learning within a flagship film studios in North West London. Set within the campus of one of the UK’s largest and most technically advanced production facilities, featuring multiple sound stages and a renowned virtual production stage in the heart of Park Royal, The Hive offers an authentic, aspirational environment from day one.

The initiative builds on an existing relationship between the two organisations and marks the two-year anniversary of MAMA Youth Project establishing its headquarters at The Hive. Since then, Garden Studios has played a key role in welcoming the charity and its trainees onto the campus, helping to foster a collaborative space where emerging talent, industry professionals and creative businesses intersect.

With over 20 years of creating careers and 1,000 alumni now working across the UK media industry, including many in senior roles across multiple genres and platforms, MAMA Youth Project has a proven track record of transforming access into opportunity. Through this continued partnership with Garden Studios, the charity looks forward to welcoming many more young creatives through these doors and supporting them into long-term careers.
