Role Overview
As part of the Facilities Team, you will ensure the studio premises and surrounding areas are always well functioning, safe, tidy and welcoming for our clients and guests. This role is client-facing and you’ll be playing a critical role in ensuring clients have the best possible experience at Garden Studios.
You’ll support the team to manage health and safety measures, ensuring all site activities are compliant with health and safety legislation.
Flexible working (within reason) is required for some production schedules, so the post may involve some “out of hours” working. The position is required to work on site most days.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Help keep the site clean, safe, and well-maintained, including litter picking and removing waste from internal and external areas.
- Assist with moving desks, office furniture, equipment, and materials around the site.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks and report any faults or issues to the Facilities Supervisor.
- Log maintenance issues on the helpdesk system when required.
- Help contractors while they are working on site and make sure work areas remain safe and tidy.
- Use company vehicles when needed to move equipment, materials, or waste across the site.
- Work independently or as part of the team to solve day-to-day site issues.
- Support the general running and upkeep of the site.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities support, construction, or general building maintenance.
- Some experience carrying out basic maintenance tasks, inc. plumbing.
- Experience working in a service or client-facing environment.
Essential Skills
- A full UK driving licence is desirable for this role, as it involves regular travel between campus sites and transporting equipment/furniture as part of maintenance duties.
- Good communication skills when working with colleagues, contractors, and site users.
- Hard-working with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- Honest and willing to take responsibility for your work.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in facilities management, commercial buildings, construction, or hospitality.
- Basic knowledge of using hand tools
- Experience with manual handling, including moving furniture or equipment safely.
- Understanding of recycling and waste management on site.
- Willingness to learn new maintenance and technical skills.
