Garden Studios, London’s largest sustainable film and television production hub, has announced the appointment of Georgia Brown to its board. As a distinguished creative executive and former Head of Amazon Studios in Europe, Brown brings a wealth of experience in global content strategy, industry innovation, and a commitment to diversity and sustainability. Her appointment marks a major milestone for the studio as it continues to expand its influence in the global entertainment landscape.

Georgia Brown is known for her visionary leadership, having played a key role in establishing and scaling Amazon Studios’ European operations. Under her leadership, she oversaw the development of seven production hubs across Europe and commissioned some of Prime Video’s most successful projects, including “Clarkson’s Farm”, “The Devils Hour”, and “The Rig”. Her impact also extended to non-English language originals like “Culpa Mia” and “Maxton Hall – The World Between Us”, showcasing her ability to foster global talent and content diversity.

Brown’s deep connection to the UK’s creative industries is not limited to her work at Amazon. She has held prominent positions at Fremantle Media, BBC Worldwide, and Shine International. Recently, she has focused on industry-wide change through her role as the voluntary Chair of the UK Skills Task Force, where she has led initiatives to improve diversity, skills development, and sustainability. Brown also co-created the NFTS Prime Video Craft Academy, aimed at nurturing future generations of industry talent.

Founded in February 2021, Garden Studios has quickly established itself as a hub for environmentally responsible production.
